King George VI’s Victorian Suite”. Made around 1850, purchased by King George VI of Great Britain, who presented it to his daughter princess Elizabeth of Great Britain when she married prince Philip of Greece in 1947. It is a necklace of sixteen sapphires surrounded by diamonds, and a pair of earrings. In 1952, Queen Elizabeth II had it shorten by removing the largest and three of the smallest stones. Since 1959 the largest one is used as a pendant , but it can also be used as a brooch.
